Galaxy S III Found to Work With USB On-The-Go, Xbox 360, PS3 Controllers, and More

The expectations of what an Android devices can do go up with each new version of Android and with each new generation of devices. Users are no longer looking at the features the carriers and manufacturers advertise to the mainstream demographic, but to lesser advertised features. One such feature is how well a device can connect to other devices such as a USB flash drive, an external hard drive and video game console controllers. With the Galaxy S II doing quite well on its connectivity test, there’s the question as to how the Galaxy S III would do.

The answer is even better than its predecessor. XDA Senior Member NZtechfreak posted a video where a number of devices were connected to the Galaxy S III to see how well they would work. The results were impressive to say the least. Not only is the device USB On-the-Go compatible, but that compatibility extends to just about anything that you can connect via USB.

The devices tested on the Galaxy S III included some basic things—a USB Flash drive, external hard drive, and others. However, the most impressive test was handling multiple devices at once using a USB hub. Other devices confirmed working on the Galaxy S III include the controllers for all three major gaming systems—the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii—as well as keyboards and mice. The latter two were among those devices not supported by the Galaxy S II, so users who seek this kind of functionality will see a dramatic improvement.

To watch the full video, you can find it in the original thread.

HTC’s New Ad Campaign And What It Really Means

HTC has just released three new blind test adverts comparing app loading speed, audio and selfies. Whilst you are surely astounded that HTC won every time, the tests were incredibly biased and their release shows something concerning about the company and how they are performing in the current market.     One of the many reasons companies tend to utilize blind trials is when they feel that their product is comparable or better than its competitors. This leads to the assumption...
