HTC Incredible S Port for HTC EVO and DInc Now Available!

When the best just keeps getting better, one can’t do anything other than watch in awe as it happens. One of the newly announced devices from HTC, the Incredible S, has had a dumped RUU for a couple of days now. Our devs, in their eternal quest for perfection decided that it would be a fun project trying to port this new dump onto other devices. XDA members myn and incubus26jc, who are largely recognized for their work on the Vogue, Incredible, and EVO were successful in porting this onto the HTC EVO 4G and the HTC Incredible. Needless to say, the ports are far from complete as many things still need work, like 4G, HDMI, camera, and a few other things, in the case of the EVO.

This new RUU comes loaded with a few updated goodies such as HTC Kernel #15, so if you don’t mind the non-working parts of the rom, you can take it for a test drive. Keep in mind, that this is in very early development stages, so if you believe that you can be of assistance to the devs, please be sure to leave detailed feedback on the thread to try and improve this port.

This is a port of the HTC Incredible S RUU for the HTC Droid Incredible and HTC Evo 4G.

This is a community driven ROM. It’s development is open to any willing contributors at
http://code.google.com/p/incredible-s-united-base/
and
http://code.google.com/p/incredible-s-united-vendor/.
To become a contributor you will need to send wdfowty a PM asking him.

Also, if you want to branch this off and start your own device port, you are more than welcome to.

We have an IRC channel set up. ##inc-s-baseirc.freenode.com feel free to join us in there.

This will remain an unthemed ROM. It is far easier to use the built in theming and as time progresses and this becomes a more mature ROM we will look into adding them.

You can find more information in the port thread.

OnePlus 2 Bares All in New Tear Down Gallery

Last year, the launch of the OnePlus One, dubbed 'the flagship killer', visibly shook the foundations of the mobile OEM sphere, with OnePlus delivering high-end flagships specs at a very affordable price. The initial launch phase was met with mixed feelings after a few controversial marketing tactics, but they eventually gave way to strong sales figures.   Earlier this week, OnePlus went on to unveil the successor to the One, and while the device continues to offer top-of-the-line specs at...

Focus – An Attractive But Raw Gallery Replacement

Focus is an attractive new app built by XDA members Liam Spradlin and Francisco Franco, the latter being well-known in the forums for his kernels. Focus aims to completely replace your gallery app with some neat tricks, but at a potentially risky time considering that Google has thrown its weight into the photo-organization arena. This is a first draft of the app of course, but we'll pitch it against its main rivals here, namely the popular QuickPic and the aforementioned Google Photos.     The first...
