In App Translator Lets You Conveniently Translate Text in Nearly Any Application without Leaving the App

These days, it’s relatively simple to take something in one language and translate to another. Whether it’s via a dedicated translation site, mobile application, or through your browser, we rarely find ourselves struggling to discern the meaning of an unfamiliar language these days. However, it can still be a little cumbersome to find a translation when using a phone or tablet, as this often requires you to switch back and forth between applications. In App Translator by XDA Forum Member YaziAndroid looks to change that.

In App Translator is a handy little tool that allows you to select and copy text from a wide selection of Android applications and get a translation, without leaving the application itself. It works by monitoring your clipboard and automatically translating to the target language. This also makes it possible to simply translate something you have just written on the fly without switching applications.

The app is based on Microsoft Translator, and therefore it supports 45 of the most commonly used languages with the option to auto detect unknown text. In theory, this should work from any application that allows the user to copy text to the clipboard, making it a very useful little utility for anyone often dealing with multiple languages. Check out the application thread for more information.

Galaxy S6 Shipping with Different Camera Models

One of the Galaxy S6's most flaunted features is its spectacular camera, its 16MP with an f/1.9 aperture performing excellently in well-lit shots as well as low-light ones, with most reviews concluding that it trounces the camera on the iPhone 6 as well. However, all may not be right in Monde de la Samsung, as earlier today, XDA Member Bananaz came across a surprising detail about the shooter on the S6, and while the revelation is not necessary groundbreaking, it...

No, Android Apps on Windows Mobile Isn’t a Good Thing

As Symbian and Blackberry OS gradually gave way to Android and iOS towards the turn of the decade, the former leviathans found themselves struggling to hold their ground and when all seemed lost, they were forced to resort to extreme measures. While Nokia gave in to an acquisition by Microsoft, RIM's plans were more out-of-the-box and one of their efforts to save the platform whose existence was nigh on end was to build a runtime that allowed Blackberry devices to run apps built...
