Welcome to xda-developers.com
This site is about certain PDA-phones, made by a firm called HTC in Taiwan. Their makers named them 'Wallaby', 'Himalaya', 'Blue Angel', 'Wizard' and 'TyTN', but almost nobody knows them by those names. The mobile provider O2 sells them under the brand-name 'XDA', and that's what we had in our hands first. They're also known as Qtek, MDA, SX-56, Hermes and many, many other names.
Since we develop software for it, we need information, and nobody seemed eager or ready to give us what we needed. So we 'reverse-engineered' the devices, found a lot of information, and shared it with the world. But as our site grew we realised that lots of ordinary users were also suffering from a lack of support. They started using the xda-developers forum to communicate and before long the forum was as much a user forum as it was a developer forum.
We hope that you will enjoy this site and find it as useful as we do. We encourage you to donate or otherwise support this site. Of course absolutely all proceeds from donations will benefit this community.

S2U2 can be downloaded from the developer’s (A_C) website. For support, visit the latest thread on XDA-developers. It should work for virtually all Windows Mobile 5 or greater devices with support for a healthy array of resolutions. Hi,
I have an Xperia X1 and did a fresh install of Agent47's latest ROM. I installed all the usual apps which I've had for quite some time. I also installed Max's Ultimate version 2.4 and S2U2 v.2.11 beta (version 2.10 had some problems when a call came in). I charged the battery to 100%, unplugged the phone, and then left it on overnight with only S2U2 running. 7 hours later I was down to 35% and the phone was locked up so I had to do a reset by pushing the stylus into the hole under the battery cover. I don't think it was Max's Ultimate since I've had that running for a week prior to using S2U2 and had no serious battery drainage issues so I can only think it has to be S2U2. I've uninstalled S2U2 and am in the process of charging the battery up to 100% to do more tests. I'll post as I find out more. I love this application, but the energy usage is a dealbreaker.
After removing S2U2, charging the battery to 100%, and a reset I set it down for about 7 1/2 hours. Every now and then I would pick it up and navigate the menus just to see it hasn't frozen. After that period of time of light usage the battery was still at 87%. That's about 1/5 the battery drain when S2U2 was installed and running. I'd love to use the application since it is so slick and wonderful, but the battery drain is so severe that I simply can't justify doing so. Hope this helps others.
Update: I've been using 2.12 for a day now and the hit on my battery is much, much lower. I estimate I can get a 1.5 days which is very much in line with what I think is acceptable since I tend to plug in my phone at work. This is a really great application and I really look forward to seeing what other wonderful things are to come.
