New to xda-developers? Check This Out!

Our beloved forum has grown a lot over the years thanks to the efforts of all of our members, moderators, administrators, and everyone involved. From time to time, our site undergoes changes, which may enhance the functionality of our site, but that are less than clear to people coming in for the first time. With this idea in mind, XDA member TRusselo has put together a beautiful guide with everything that the new members need to know once they sign up in the forum. The guide has been fitted with screenshots descriptions and everything that there is to know and do on xda-developers. Moreover, it covers Compact and Full Views, the Portal, XDA TV Youtube channel, and so much more.

If you are coming in here for the first time, welcome. Now, be sure that you take a look at this quick start guide and enjoy xda-developers in the way it has always been meant to be enjoyed.

I have created an 8 part guide to help everyone (new members mostly) get the best out of our site!

This is in partial follow up to my previous post on being a new member and trying to navigate the site. It was a couple weeks before I understood all the different areas of information on this site!

Remember that new members (under 8 posts) cant post in Development forums or create a signature or edit their posts! Only Mods can Delete! and rarely do! be careful what you say! Though useless threads are always closed and cant be edited!

Enjoy! I hope this helps!

You can find more information in the original thread.

CloudPlayer: DIY HiFi Music Streaming Solution

In our Helpful Guide to Music Streaming Services, we mentioned several different services that offer ways to stream catalogs of music directly to your device. While each service has their benefits and drawbacks, the common theme among them is to give you access to a vast library of music without the need to store your own, and charge you a monthly fee for the privilege. But what if you already had access to your own catalog of music? Sure, there...

The OnePlus 2 & The Year of Smartphone Compromises

We are very close to entering the last third of 2015, and we have now seen many of the biggest flagship lines issue their latest iterations. But for the most part, the awe has vanished.   There is a feeling that virtually all of us at the XDA office...
