Google's approach of providing work-in-progress source code to OEMs before the official release date seems to be working. A few weeks ago we talked about a video showing a Lollipop test build running on Samsung Galaxy S4. Today, the Korean OEM started rolling out the Android 5.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy S5 to users in Poland.

Here's the details of the Android 5.0 for Samsung Galaxy S5:

• Model: SM-G900F

• Model name: GALAXY S5

• Country: Poland

• Version: Android 5.0

• Changelist: 77433514

• Build date: Mon, 01 Dec 2014 17:41:00 +0000

• Product Code: XEO

• PDA: G900FXXU1BNL2

• CSC: G900FXEO1BNL1

• MODEM: G900FXXU1BNL2

The freshly baked build for the SM-G900F is quite heavy. The 1.4 GB update brings lots of improvement that Android 5.0 offers. Samsung also added its own improvements, such as floating toggles and re-worked quick settings. The build seems to be much faster, as was seen in the last preview videos that appeared on SamMobile.

The update for other variants of Samasung Galaxy S5 should be available through the traditional OTA system in the upcoming days. We will obviously let you know once the build has been captured. Meanwhile, you can head over to the official S5 Firmware Thread to keep track of the user experience regarding the new build.
