A few days ago, Google finally released factory images for mobile versions of Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 (2013). The waiting period was quite long, as Google had a 3 month delay to provide the update. It was a bit of a weird situation, but it's definitely nice to see the factory images being released.

Flashing the factory image might be problematic as the device must be unlocked and flashing wipes all the data stored on the device. It's a deal breaker for many users, so some of you certainly waited a while longer to get the OTA notification. Google has finally started to roll out the update and XDA members are faster than light to capture the links. Thanks to XDA Senior Member EthanFirst and XDA Forum Member zlogic42 owners of mobile version of Nexus 7 tablets have the opportunity to flash the images right now!

All you need to do to flash the image is entering the recovery mode, pressing the volume down + power and selecting the OTA installation options. You need to have the newest version of Android SDK installed in order to have the required ADB version.
