Perm Root and First Custom ROMs for HTC One X
It’s hard to remember a time when there was such excitement over a new device as now with the newly launched HTC One X. The section is on fire, and many lucky members already have their devices in hand. Others, such as yours truly, are still waiting for the mailman to knock on our doors.
For those lucky enough to already have the device in hand, we now have root, recovery, and custom ROM. According to XDA Forum Member paulobrien, there is no official ClockworkMod recovery available, so in the meantime, he created an interim unofficial CWM Touch release that allows one to aquire permanent root. Continue on to the root and recovery threads. Next, head over to the first cstom ROMs for the device: Android Revolution, ROMeOS, and Razer ROM by mike1986., monx®, and Adjust respectively.
