Persian Keyboard for WP7
The Mango update has brought Windows Phone 7 lots of new features, including the support for new languages like Chinese, Japanese and Korean. However, Persian and other Arabic languages still aren’t supported – officially, anyway – which is why forum member tighoor has developed a little app that allows you to write Arabic characters, in true right-to-left direction. It lets you send the text as SMS or email, or copy-and-paste it into any app.
Since this app isn’t listed in the Marketplace, you’ll need to be developer unlocked to sideload the XAP. Despite not knowing the language, we’ve tested the app ourselves and found it to be working as advertised, with fast multitasking as well.
If you’ve been waiting for Persian input on your Windows Phone, jump right into the forum thread, and be sure to leave the developers some feedback and thanks.
