Prevent Windows Phone 7 from Relocking when connecting to Zune

If you have an HD2 or any other HTC device running Windows Phone 7 unlocked via Chevron or Cotulla ROM, this may be of your interest. XDA member thesecondsfade posted a nice guide on how to prevent your device from being relocked every time you connect with Zune software. This easy guide includes links to download the applications/fixes you need to make it work. Be sure to know what are you doing as this will void your warranty. Some members reported working and others had some problems, so please leave feedback whether it´s working or not.
Important note: Only working on HTC devices.

[HTC] Prevent WP7 from Relocking

This is discussed elsewhere, but deep within other threads, so I wanted to give it it’s own thread to help people in finding out how to prevent Zune from relocking WP7 devices. It only works on HTC devices for now because TouchXplorer only works for HTC devices.

  1. Install TouchXplorer
  2. Install HTC Connection Setup
  3. Download and extract this zip file to your PC.
  4. Deploy the extracted XAP to your device
  5. On your device, using TouchXplorer, copy \My Documents\My Ringtones\CustClear.provxml to \Windows\

Continue to the original thread.

We'll see that first, then take a look at a new tool that aims to make the process much easier, and finally compare it to the popular Xposed framework to see how they...

M9: Is Throttling a Non-issue? Can’t We Trust Benchmarks?

When the first reports of the M9 overheating came to light, many forum users began a collective joke-round calling the phone a popcorn machine, a grill, and other unoriginal remarks that we’ve seen with every device that presents sign of overheating, from gaming consoles to graphics cards. In this sense, the internet is not very inventive, and the cycle of rehashed jokes re-surfaces on different products every year or so. This time it was the M9’s turn and it was...
