QIK Finally Working on CM7 for the EVO (Maybe Others)

So, if you are one of the lucky ones who have an EVO rocking CM7 (or any Gingerbread build for that matter), you are probably missing Qik, the video chat application. It has taken the CM team quite a while but to no avail. Thanks to the newest drop of the official Gingerbread rom for the EVO, which comes with Qik included, XDA member mazdarider23 was able to finally install it and get it working with no issues on his EVO. The installation of the app is not as straight forward as simply opening an apk, so make sure that you are rooted and that you have Root Explorer or Astro File Manager in order to place this in your device. It works well according to the dev, so please take it out for a spin and leave some feedback if it worked for you.

Alright so up to now, I’ve had hell trying to get QIK working on CM7 or for any GB rom for that matter. Well look no more…..

Just install it via Root Explorer or Astro File Manager for those that don’t know what to do with it!
Oh and if you want to test it out and don’t have anyone to call via QIK….call me.

You can find more information in the application thread.
