After successfully rolling out Android Pie-based One UI update to its various budget and mid-range smartphones earlier this year, Samsung is now rolling out Android Pie to one more device. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo, which launched back in April of last year, is the latest device to receive the Android Pie update from Samsung. The device was originally launched with Android Oreo out-of-the-box but, thankfully, users can now update it to the newest version of Android.

The over-the-air (OTA) update has begun rolling out to users in India. The update carries build number J720FDDU4BSG7, weighs in at over 1.2GB in size and brings along Samsung’s new One UI interface.

Besides a jump to Android Pie, the Galaxy J7 Duo update also includes Night mode, tweaks to the notification panel and quick settings, new Unicode 11.0 emoji for Samsung Keyboard, Android Pie’s Digital Wellbeing tools, and much more. We have already discussed various features and changes in One UI at great length in our review article, so be sure to check that out as well.

OTA rollouts may take some time to reach all devices, so if you haven't received the update notification on your Galaxy J7 Duo yet, don’t worry, you should get in the next couple day or so. If you can’t wait, you can, of course, head to the Software Update section from within the Settings to manually check if the update is available for download.
