Small OTA Update For Eee Pad Transformer Breaks Root
The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer has been getting an OTA update since a few days ago – note that this is not Ice Cream Sandwich yet – that ups your version number to 18.104.22.168 and is said to bring some small improvements – that is, you’ll lose your root access, apparently.
However, there definitely is a way to regain root, even after the update, by flashing a custom ROM using NVFlash. But it all seems to be very hit and miss at the moment, with different people reporting different outcomes, so, if you care about root, we’d suggest you to take a look at the forum thread before updating.
