T-Mobile Galaxy S 2 Forums Added

Well, it looks like the SGS2 family is finally complete. Each and every device from Samsung’s new line up finally has a place they can call home on xda-developers. The latest entry into this party is T-Mobile’s version of the SGS2, which went on sale not too long ago. The device, code named Hercules, gets its name from the obvious gigantic 4.5 inch Super AMOLED+ screen, which is one of the largest available for a mobile phone (without going into the Dell Streak 5, that is). Other features include a beefy, 1.5 GHz Snapdragon dual core processor, which clocks higher (stock) than its brethren, the (currently) mandatory 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and a very hefty 1850 mAh battery, allowing you to enjoy your device without charging for a bit longer than you are used to. As an added bonus, you get to enjoy Android 2.3.6 from stock, which is almost the latest release of Gingerbread (currently 2.3.7). Being larger does not seem to hurt it in the weight department either, so you end up with a rather slick, light, and very powerful device if you decide to go that route.

If you already have one and would like to share your findings so far, please be sure to stop by the forums to see what’s cooking!

You can visit the Samsung Hercules in its home on xda right here.

Best of Matias Duarte – “Ask Me Anything” Summary

Matias Duarte, VP of Design at Google, is perhaps one of the most prolific software designers of recent times: Material Design, the highest exponent of Android beauty, is Matias' own brainchild. Without him and his creation, the biggest Android update of all time wouldn't have been what it was and our favorite platform would still carry a look that many deemed outdated even before Material Design was shown. With an internet following that spawned several internet memes and even a weird community,...
