T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note Acquires Root, Return to Stock, and Much More

The T-Mobile Galaxy Note is an enigma in the Android world. It was introduced to T-Mobile relatively recently, but was then suddenly discontinued, perhaps because of the Galaxy Note 2 unveiling. Why sell last year’s model when this year’s model is right around corner, right? Even so, at least a few people got their hands on the T-Mobile Galaxy Note, and those people need development love too.

With that in mind, XDA Senior Member tomin.fhl has posted up a thread on XDA that contains a lot of goodies for those who managed to get their hands on the T-Mo Note before it was removed from shelves. Not only does it contain the root method, but also a method for returning to stock as well as custom recoveries, modems, and other miscellaneous guides. Using this thread, users can get from stock to rooted and back to stock safely and everything in between.

The methods are pretty standard for Samsung devices—users download the proper root files and flash them via Odin. Nothing too difficult or out of the ordinary. Additionally, tomin.fhl has posted personal test results for modems, so users can pick out the one they want with a little more information. There is even a short guide for booting ROMs from the AT&T variant.

For more info, check out the original thread.

The infamous RAM bug that plagued the S6 is indeed an annoyance on the Note 4's 5.0.X ROMs. Rumors of an update to fix all of this were confirmed with the first reports of the 5.1.1 update for the Russian Note 4, which seemingly improved the Recents Menu and RAM management. But it'll be a long time...
