XDA encourages collaboration between developers and within the community, so it’s only fair that we seek out opportunities to do so ourselves. Working with the fine folks at Cruzerlite is just such an example. We’ve done some great shirts and a good assortment of cases for the top devices out there, and the response from the community has been spectacular.
Now, we are happy to announce a new case to add to the collection: the HTC One XDA Molded Case. The cases are molded into high-quality TPU to provide the most protection while remaining amazingly thin. The sleek, lightweight design of the case fully wraps around the HTC One, while at the same time raising the front of the phone to protect the screen when face down. These affordable cases are flexible, easy to apply, and easy to remove. They come in several different colors, allowing you to choose the case that fits you as well as it fits the phone. Or, for the hipsters out there, you can have a case for each social situation you might find yourself in.
To really launch this new case, Cruzerlite is giving away ten (10) $14 gift cards and will throw in free shipping. All you have to do is follow @xdadevelopers and @cruzerlite, and then tweet what your first smartphone was with the hashtag #xdacruzerlite. So something like this:
@xdadevelopers @cruzerlite my first smartphone was the Palm OS Samsung i500. #xdacruzerlite
Ten winners will be chosen by Cruzerlite on Friday. So get out there and show your support for the largest mobile development community in the world!

noun \ˈkrau̇d-ˌsȯr-siŋ\ : the practice of obtaining needed services, ideas, or content by soliciting contributions from a large group of people and especially from the online community rather than from traditional employees or suppliers
At XDA, you could say we specialize in crowdsourcing. You could even say that we had it perfected before it became hip. Our developers routinely participate in Open Source projects, which epitomize the very definition of crowdsourcing. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that we are seeking your input into something carrying the XDA-Developers brand.
Thanks to CruzerLite, XDA has been selling some great t-shirts and cases at phenomenal prices. In fact, things are going so well that we’ve decided to crowdsource the logo design for the next set of cases and shirts. So here is the deal:
Once all entries have been collected, we will begin the process of voting by opening that up to the community as well. XDA reserves the right to pre-screen entries to make sure that all copyright logos, fonts, names, trademarks, and little ponies are removed. The winner will get their design featured on a special, upcoming batch of cases and shirts at CruzerLite. In addition, CruzerLite will throw in a few extra goodies.
Now let your creative juices flow!

At the end of last year, we started selling XDA cases with our friends at CruzerLite, and we’ve seen some phenomenal interest. Our current lineup is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and the Google Nexus 4—but we want to add more. So we have decided to hold a poll and let the users choose which device(s) to add to our current lineup.
Below you will find some of the top devices at XDA. Please choose one from the list that you would like to see offered, and we will pick from the top 3 devices. The voting ends on February 15, so make sure you place your vote for the devices you love!
EDIT: The results are in, and displayed below. We’ll keep you updated as to the final options when they become available.

With XDA membership coming up on 5 million users worldwide, we wanted to give you the opportunity to show your support for this vibrant, ever-changing community. After the BigAndroidBBQ it was obvious who we needed to work with to provide XDA members with shirts, cases, and other merchandise to help you show your love for the site. We contacted the great people over at Cruzerlite, who have done a wonderful job getting this going. Beginning today we are offering t-shirts (long- and short-sleeved as well as female-specific) and some great cases for some pretty popular devices: the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S III (including carrier variants), Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (including carrier variants), and the Google Nexus 4.
We want to make sure that costs are kept as low as possible for all of the community, so XDA is making nothing off of the sale of the merchandise. This means that you can get some absolutely high-quality cases for your phone for only $10, and long- and short-sleeved shirts for $12 and $10. The cases are currently open for pre-order, with shipping scheduled to begin in the next 4-6 weeks. You can visit store.xda-developers.com and purchase a shirt or get your case pre-order started, and keep tabs on the other things we have cooking up with the CruzerLite team that are soon to follow.
