Earlier today, we saw a thread in the HD2 section that called our attention. As it turns out, the Desire HD kernels have finally been released by HTC for everyone to dig into and play with. What does this mean? It will have a nice domino effect, starting from the Desire HD itself. Official kernels act pretty much like a base rom in WM terms, as it can be used as a guide and/or source to improve performance on the device. so, you may start seeing far more active development for the Desire HD very soon. But this doesn’t stop here, because there are various ports of the Desire HD roms for many devices out there, including the HD2, the EVO, and the DInc. most of these ports have various flaws, one of them being the camera not . . . Following from the recently leaked Desire HD system dump, the animated HTC Sense flip clock has already been ported – and confirmed to be working on the Droid Incredible.
The new clock features numbers that actually flip down as each minute and hour passes and XDA forum member thatdudebutch has posted a link in the forum to download the zip.
Note that you must be already running HTC Sense for this port to work. Moreover, your cached prior HtcClockWidget.apk signature verification is required, so you must not wipe and should have the stock widget active on your homescreen before flashing the update.

As XDA member dealer75 leaked the ROM of the currently unreleased HTC Desire HD, we can expect that the new enhancements in the Sense interface of this phone will be ported to other devices very soon. This Froyo (FRF91) ROM contains a lot of new features that make Sense much better. Some highlights:
- HTC Sense can be run in Landscape now
- The recent applications box is now part of the notification drop-down menu
- More camera options that make image manipulation easier
- Improved Youtube player
These are just few of the many enhancements. The Desire HD also boots up much faster (about 5 times quicker), but this is most likely hardware related. It could be possible that the OS has had some dramatic changes to make the boo. . . READ ON »

Want to control your music without having to unlock your device? With this new mod by member ihtfp69, now you can. The mod not only offers music controls (back, previous, play and pause ) but also enables the rotary unlock button and menu unlock for Sense. Although the splash screen only shows up for a few seconds when booting your phone, that doesn’t mean that it is not important for the whole design experience. A nice looking splash image really refreshes the phone.
Now, there are a lot of custom splash screens available, and there are many to choose from. However, there might be just one specific image you really want to have as a splash screen. XDA member deficitism created a guide to make this possible for you. Using various tools, you will quickly create your own splash screens using the graphics you want.
