Good day for all of us waiting for Sense 3.0 to be already on our screens! XDA members capychimp and rmk40 got the first 100% working ROM´s for HTC Desire HD and Desire Z, including their variants the Inspire 4G and G2. The weather animations are working smooth and general performance is quite good -tested on Inspire 4G- but as any first version some stuff must be modified to make it work even better.
Remember to fully read the instructions before you start, it´s a delicate process.
Please leave your feedback.

For HTC Inspire owners, XDA forum member attn1 has put together an ‘HTC Inspire Hack Kit’ that contains everything an XDA member needs to root and Radio S-OFF the Android device.
The kit also provides the means to flash back the stock radio. S-OFF generally means a full permanent root including the fact that the NAND portion of your Android device is unlocked and can therefore be written to.
Installation instructions are provided in the archive and Linux, OSX and Windows are all supported, provided you have the right drivers installed.

Every week, we select five questions and answers, found on the forums. Even though some of these questions and answers might not be of help for you, they might still be interesting to read.
Q ‘Why is the first test score in Quadrant always lower than the following ones ? ‘
A There’s no expert explanation to this fact, but we guess that it has got something to do with the OS keeping the processes and data in memory. It could also be the CPU that’s been revved up after the first test.
- Q&A originally posted in the Droid Incredible General thread.
Q ‘How can I install apps on my Inspire 4G from the market that are blocked by AT&T?’
A The best way to avoid this is by installing

After a few weeks of development on the HTC Inspire 4G, the developers found out that software on the Desire HD can be run on the Inspire 4G without any modification. This means that, when you develop a ROM for the Desire HD, it can run on the Inspire 4G, and vice-versa. XDA member gunnyman suggested to merge the forums, because why would we have two different forums if the software is the same? It looks pretty obvious that merging the forums would be the best option, but there is still some discussion going on, as there are some members who state it would be better to keep the forums as they are now.

Do you remember how excited we all got when the new members of the Desire family hit the shelves? The Desire HD in particular ended up being a sure fire hit. As it turns out, the Desire HD now has a brother, which was announced at CES this past month. The HTC Inspire 4G includes the ability of connecting to AT&T’s HSPA+, which would allow it to blaze through the interwebs. This is one of the much anticipated devices that were announced at CES as this will be one of AT&T’s entry points into the 4G wars. The remaining specs for this device are similar (and as impressive) as the Desire HD.
Do you have any goodies from this one yet? Maybe some info on pricing, availability, or maybe you got your hands on on. . . READ ON »
