It seems as if tablets are intended to replace the computer altogether because the ability to connect them to transfer files and media with a computer seems to be gone or at the very least, overly complicated to implement and get working. This seems to have been the case for XDA member jhild352 who had a fun time trying to mount the device as storage in his computer in order to transfer some files and a few movies. After a lot of tinkering around with several settings, he finally got it to connect. The best part is that he didn’t want others to go through the same kind of work, so he posted a very detailed guide on how to get this feat accomplished.
So, if you wanted to get some movies up and running in your 10.1 Galaxy Tab, make sure that you take this guide and fix your file transfer blues. Please leave some feedback if you were able to get your SGT 10.1 to mount properly.
I picked up my tab this morning and have had a hell of a time mounting it as USB storage to transfer movies and pics ect… but I figured it out so I thought I’d share with the XDA community simply because there really isnt anything out there that I could find on Google.

Looks like we still believe our forum is not large enough, so we will add more device forums to grab the attention of the best developers out there. Since Samsung decided to drop two new devices at MWC 2011, we decided that they seemed suitable for our site as well. Samsung has become a rather large force to be reckoned in the mobile industry, and let’s face it… a big part of our member base has Samsung devices. Seeing as how these devices are evolving as new versions come out, we decided to open up sections for the two newest installments of Samsung Galaxy devices. Aside from what has been reported at the conference this past week, not a whole lot is yet known about these devices. However, they seem promising and we are looking forward to seeing tons of good development being done for them on XDA.
