Porting… our favorite past time. It looks like since the early days, when Xanandux was all the hype, we have been unable to get past the fact that we want our devices to do everything short of brewing us coffee (or do we?). In any way, thanks to the efforts of XDA member nyl, Toshiba TG01 owners can now enjoy the goodness of Ubuntu on their devices. There are a few goodies working right out of the box like the touchscreen, 3G data, and vibration. However, you have to keep in mind that this is an alpha release and as such, a work in progress, which is far from being finished. The dev claims that he is still ironing out a few of the kinks but that the build is rather functional, so you should be able to pop it in and take it for a spin.
Please leave feedback for the dev in case you run into bugs.
- Touchscreen works
- Radio works
- 3G works
- vibration works

This is good news for the Toshiba TG01 owners. XDA member Markinus presents the first test build of Android/Linux running on this device. The developer informs of the latest updates of what is working:
On the last pages of the original thread, there are two more builds working great, according to some members.
Please be sure to know what are you doing before proceeding, as it may cause problems to your device.
If you want to try the test build, please leave feedback so the developer can improve future versions.

Android/Linux on TG01 development, EDIT 24.11.2010Hi!
I have now a TG01 too, and will start to develop some Linux stuff on it.
I will create a new branch for it in our htcleo repository because some things we can use for both. If I have something what you could try, I will post it here.I did already a bit reasearch and put some new stuff in the htc linux wiki. I will update it if I found something new.
We need to research much stuff. And all this needs much time. So don’t ask for dates
Edit6:
Added touchscreen buttons
Added first Test Build! Extract to sd and run haret! Look to Post 2.
