For those of you on Windows Mobile devices and using the classic S2U2 app by XDA member A_C, there are many themes available.

More recently, since the introduction of Android, we have seen more themes based on the popular OS and here are some funky Android clocks by XDA member ayy3um.

The clocks are in 24 hour format, although the XDA member has also provided the A/P/M png files for the clocks in a separate attachment. The clocks come in orange, white and black and the sliders, notification icons, system icons and wallpapers are also available to download.

Additionally included is an Android analog clock by XDA member frambo88.

For more information, and to download the files, head on over to the forum post hidden in the depths of the S2U2 customisation thread!

Are you still in love with Windows Mobile? This useful application, developed by XDA member JVH3 will let you add the Facebook pics to Outlook contacts on your device as the HTC UI only adds the pictures to your contacts but not in outlook. The latest version is fully skinnable and the images now fill the whole space. You need to have Sense 2.5 for this app to work. The developer recommends to make sure you sync with Facebook before running it.
Please leave some feedback if you liked the application.

Fully skinnable.
Images now fill the whole space.
And the potential for the initial contact crash is fixed.
And the skinning can use pngs with transparency.
And it should be installable to the storage card now.

I developed an app to add the facebook pic to outlook contacts.

Sense 2.5 automatically adds images to your device to be used for your contacts in Sense.

But, the image is not added to your outlook contacts.

I went through the threads that it suggested before creating this thread.

If you like this app, please use the Thanks feature of the site.

And of course donations are always appreciated;

RSSTab for HTC Sense Updated

February 1, 2011   By:

bf7847f7db36b23ebb05e6f6503cb21c

It’s been a while since meltwater‘s much-requested RSSTab for HTC Sense (Windows Mobile) hit the web, and it has evolved considerably in the mean time.

The omission of an RSS-displaying Sense tab was always a relatively unfathomable move by HTC: one would expect that among the easy-to-access Twitter feeds and e-Books, the option to check up on RSS feeds would not be far away. However, it was not until meltwater’s mod that users could realistically find RSS information on their Windows Mobile Sense interface.

Improvements included in the updated modification are refreshed graphics and the extremely useful ability to install the tab from a .cab, as opposed to the somewhat tricky process of manually adding the Manila files.

Give the RSS tab a try by downloading it and following the instructions from this thread.

XDA member dgaud007 presents this VGA Pocket Player skin for your Windows Mobile device. It was specially made to maximize the use of the screen and hardware buttons so it´s easier to use it even when you are in your car. The latest version includes some performance tweaks, the menu bar at the bottom, and added Mortscript that enables selecting between separate PocketPlayer libraries. If you use this player as your favorite and have a VGA device, this is a good option to consider.
Please leave feed back!.

Pocket Player Skin VGA (FUZE / TOUCH PRO)

I searched for a while but couldn’t find many VGA skins for Pocket Player, especially for fat fingers, so I made this one to suit my needs. This is a new skin I’m using mostly for the car. The idea is to maximize screen space with visuals and info, and use the hardware buttons of the FUZE to handle the controls. Just thought I shared…

NOTE:
The skin is named default_vgals.psz so it will overwrite your default installed landscape skin. This way it is automatically selected when tilting the phone. If you don’t like that, just change the name ;-).

[EDIT 1/8/11]
1. Added a new version with some tweaks and the MENU BAR at the bottom, which seems more useful than the slider.
2. Also added a small Mortscript that enables selecting between separate PocketPlayer libraries. The idea is to split up large music libraries into different folders and let PP compile individual databases (metadatadb) in each folder. This greatly improves the performance of the application when browsing for music. For example, in my case, PP would struggle with my 3500+ song single library, taking on average 10 – 20 secs between each operation. After dividing the music into 4 separate folders (~1000 songs each), response is almost instant. You need to change the name of the folders in the script to match the actual folders you create, or it won’t work. Then make sure you run the library scan on each folder. You get the idea…Try it…but remember to always backup, etc…

Here’s a funny and original theme for your Windows Mobile device. XDA member sponge_worthy presents his development based on Buuf theme for Cookie Home Tab 2 that includes a set of icons for the task bar, a skin for the dialer and a Sense icons package. This theme is like a cartoon with a great design that will completely change and renew the look of your device. If you have kids, beware as this work will be loved by them.
The developer has tested it on a Rhodium (portrait mode only) but it works on VGA devices as well.

Update : Uploaded CHT2 Icons and Sense package (Dec 9)

I have spent some considerable time to incorporate a Buuf theme on my phone and be able to switch between my Black and Blue Grill theme and this one. I like to have all my icons consistent everywhere I frequent my device. So I’ve either skinned or found an adequate one for the following places: Taskbar, WM 6.5.x theme, Phone Canvas, Thumbcal, psShutXP, S2U2, Notifcation screen, Sense 2.5, CHT2, Action Screen, and Resco Explorer. I think it is looking pretty good now.

I first will give create the the DrSrF team from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683771 for starting up the Buuf theme for WM. It looks like in the thread that they have abandoned the project though.

I also want to thank Paul Davey aka mattahan for creating the Buuf icons and sharing them here – http://mattahan.deviantart.com/gallery/

I also have used tsowen battery icons because they seemed to match this theme pretty well.

If so, XDA member Dunc001 prepared a nice theme for Cookie Home Tab. The full theme includes CHT Comm Toggles – Airplane, Wifi, Blue-tooth, Phone, Silent, Vibrate, CHT Notification Icons incl Voice mail now, CHT HD Mini Lock-screen – Snowman lock slider, slider notification icons, email and SMS widget skins, dSign Clock v1.2 LE including Christmas layout and Days2Xmas widget just to mention some.

CHT Comm Toggles – Airplane, Wifi, Bluetooth, Phone, Silent, Vibrate
CHT Notification Icons incl Voicemail now
CHT HD Mini Lockscreen – Snowman lock slider, slider notification icons
Email and SMS widget skins (see instructions)
CHT softkeys and dock – Apps (start menu), CHT (CHT menu), Web, Phone, Tabs, Lock

Add-on widgets for theme:

dSign Clock v1.2 LE including Christmas layout
Days2Xmas widget – a massive thanks to Rat for this one. My idea was for a simple countdown widget using 25-CurrentDayDate as the calculation, however Rat has as usual come up with a genius script which will now work right up until Christmas 2019, right throughout the year!!!!

edit – Santod has now corrected the element in the days2xmas cab which was causing the ‘white square’ issue on some devices. Fixed cab is now attached to this post. Santods original post is HERE

7/12 – Added days2xmaseve cab – basically the same widget but with the countdown to the 24th for those countries who count that as the official start of Christmas (also includes fix for Weihnachten not showing correctly and Kerst instead of Kerstmis for Mike

For those members using Farsi language now thanks to XDA anishtan32, we can have it on Windows Mobile devices. After installing this application, Finger Keyboard will display as a new option the language Far. Members reported working on WVGA, VGA and QVGA resolutions. To install, just copy the extracted file into (root):\program files\fingerkeyb\skins\.  Probably, you will need a soft reset after doing this.

This is the initial release of my latest Application called locationAlarm.

This App can wake you when you really need it! Not based on Alarm Time as usual, but on the location you are in right now!

You surely have heard about this kind of alarm Clocks existing for Android or iOS and now it does for Windows Mobile too!

As special functions of this program, it does warn you if the signaling does not work for ten minutes, and your phone does not know its location anymore!

Also it will warn you with the alarm sound if the batterie level gets critical.
It does not only work with GPS but also with Traingualtion

The Gui again is fingerfriendly (of course) and does rely on the superb SenseSDK 1.39.

Donations are very Welcome!

You can find more information in the application thread.
For beta testing the program, see here.

XDA member Co0kieMonster, famous for this incredible add on for Manila, has presented today the final version 2.0. Features like SMS and email notification shortcuts will jump to CHT widgets, option to disable non-edit mode popup menu, new option to make toggle switch turn on bluetooth in discoverable mode, new option for original flip clock animation, updated chtstate v1.08g, changed tab and state links are no longer part of the base CHT cab – available as add-ons and fixed phone hard-key not working can be found on final release.
Working on Manila (Sense) 2.5 on a WVGA or VGA resolutions for Windows Mobile devices.

CHT version v2.0.0 bring major changes. Most of the mod has been rewritten from the ground up, every line of code has been looked over and optimized for speed. Lots of new features have also been added along with an addon widget framework. Generally the mod is more configurable than ever.
You must uninstall any previous version of CHT and soft reset before installing this one.
If CHT was cooked into your custom ROM, install over the cooked version.

A new version of CHTEditor is also available: CHTEditor v2.0.0.0 final – you must use the final version of CHTEditor with CHT 2.0 final.
There is no backward compatiblity with versions 1.x.x, so you can’t import old CHTE 1.x settings files.
But you can import saved files from 2.0 beta into 2.0 final. Similarly, future versions will be compatile going forward, so you will be able to import your 2.0.0 settings into any 2.x.x version.

If you’re upgrading from v2.0 beta, read this post.

Here are the highlights of what’s new in v2.0.0. A full list of changes is very quite large and you should read the user manual to find out all that’s possible.
These are just highlights, but I know you’ll discover the details by reading the manual and of course while exploring the home tab itself
- left/right sliding pages confgurable from 1 to 7 pages (separately configurable for portrait, landscape and lockscreen)
- redesidned softkey area, bottom menu and tab slider (tap and hold the slider button, don’t just tap and release)
- quick links can be configured in any row by column layout
- new links that are can be freely moved anywhere on the screen (free links – add from popup menu)
