We love our hobbies, whether it be sports, electronics, or both. What better way to show the combined loved than by merging one into the other? XDA member lnando84 shares his creations for all NFL fans out there. The dialer skins feature your favorite NFL team logo in the background as well as re-designed number buttons to match the style. These are only good for WVGA devices like the HD2 and Touch pro 2, running Windows Mobile 6.5 and up. Please do not try to install them in devices with lower resolutions as they will mess up your device, likely forcing you to reflash your current rom or performing a hard reset. He has also included some extra dialpads for those of you who live with the Christmas spirit, as well as a few miscellaneous ones for those with a need to simply change the look into something less fan-ish.

Please leave some feedback and maybe some requests if you have any.

I want to start off by saying I’m a HUGE Philadelphia Eagles Football Fan!! I have a thread in the TP2 themes and apps section for NFL dialpads skins I’ve made for all 32 teams over the past few months. I’ve been asked/told I should start a thread here for all my dialpad skins because they also work on the HD2. I’ll be adding preview’s as well as download links to them below. Let me know if anyone runs into any problems when running these. I’ll also try taking on a few requests so let me know what you guys are thinking..

You can find more information in the skins thread.

If you’re a fan of the Android look on the HD2, but you’re not really sure you want to take the leap and put Android on your device, why not try out XDA member MrBeOTP2 Android look on your beloved phone first?

The XDA member has taken the refined look from Android’s latest sweet, Gingerbread, and applied it to the Windows Mobile taskbar, keyboard and dialer forming part of the Windroid series of themes.

The cab files are compatible with WVGA devices running Windows Mobile 6.5.x (WM 6.5 is not currently supported).

For more screenshots including the keyboard and dialer, and to download the cab files, take a look at the theme thread.

Do you remember the menu used on the first Toshiba TG01 devices with Windows Mobile?, well now XDA member mirolg has ported it to work on more devices. ToshibaStripesMenu works on WM 6.1 and later and to install it, simply disable all items in the home screen, then install it, and it’s ready to use. Some members have reported some bugs on their devices and the developer is working on an updated version correcting the issues. No doubt, this is a nice home screen to have in mind.
If you like it, please let us know if it´s working or not. Your feedback is very important.

for the best: before install the cab, disable all items in home menu, install time is about 1,5 min.(deactivate auto standby or set the stanby time higher) install the cab. no restart needed. go back in home settings, toshiba menu is now selected. press ok and toshiStripes starts!

works on 6.1 ROM, 6.5 ROM and 6.5.5 ROM (6.5.3 i think also)
(i must add a few files to works on every device)

How about a Windows Mobile article for a change? XDA member poyensa posted a great tutorial explaining how to create or edit any Cookie Home Tab 2.0 widget. Basically, the original poster compiled the how to´s including quotes from developers but on a simpler way to understand the whole process of editing/creating widgets. The guide also includes an extensive, and very well documented, way to solve most common problems. You will find a section where you can create your own widget as well.
The developer invested a considerable amount of time on this compilation and surely your feedback will be well received. Olé!

Are you interested in making or editing a CHT widget? To make a widget for Co0kie Home Tab 2.0.0 is not such a difficult job as you may think, I tell you by experience. I have no previous formation in programs or informatic code but i could make a few widgets(*) and I would like to share this experience with you. This is not so altruistic work, I am expecting a huge amount of widgets made by all of you to install and enjoy in my brand-repaired HD2

Co0kie Master has allready published a guide for making a CHT widget (it is into the widgets kitchen); also Genius_Rat_2665 has made a tutorial for making a cht clock widget, so -the third time lucky- lets bring here all that knowledge and try to make a simple widget step-by-step. Also this could be a good place to share and learn each other some code for widgets. Things like how to make an blinking element, how to change number in text, how to read from the registry, etc.

(*) What is for sure is that no one widget I could ever do without the help of others. Lets start quoting the existing Co0kie’s guide

(NOTE: these .swf files work best with the BryhtFlash 2.0 Player)

(NOTE: if the video looks funny because it’s on it’s side, don’t worry, when it’s viewed in landscape, it all fits together…)

Enjoy!

Still using the wonderful Windows Mobile? Then, you may remember ActionScreen. XDA member Skrobel was tired of the lack of support for landscape, so he decided to develop a 12-icon ActionScreen that supported that orientation. The latest version has a fixed SW_MINIMIZE, so that the app minimizes instead of going to the background. Moreover, it now supports non-Sense interfaces (Today Screen and Titanium tested). Working on WVGA resolutions only.
Please leave feedback for the developer.

[APP][13.02.2011]ActionScreen w. Landscape support v0.3 WVGA[Developers please help]

Hello

I liked the idea of an ActionScreen ever since I met with this program for a first time (it was on a Sense 2.1 stock ROM so it was really handy).

But as I am a Rhodium owner, I always had problem with Landscape orientation. The Smaberg’s ActionScreen was showing only 2 rows of icons in Landscape or wasn’t showing at all. So with the encouragement by Jackos I started to develop my own application based very much on the original idea of the 12-icon ActionScreen from Smaberg. As I am definitely not a programmer I started to learn Basic4PPC for a starter. Then, after I discovered how many environment restrictions it gives I switched to C#.

What I present here is a preliminary version which has full Landscape support (the app will run without problems in Landscape and will change it’s layout properly even if there will be an orientation change while program is shown).

* NEW * – The whole app has been rewritten from scratch. Also changed to the C# + NetCF as I thought it will solve most of my memory problems…

SendMyLocation for Windows Mobile

February 21, 2011   By:

old

Our dear friend and XDA member oldsap just updated this great application for your Windows Mobile device. With SendMyLocation, you will be able to send SMS sharing your actual position based on your GPS information. The latest version has an added option to send information as email as well as more interval time options. The developer has tested this on a HTC Diamond 2 and should work on similar resolution devices. Please let us know if it works by leaving a comment.
If you don’t have a XML file created, the SMS sent will only show your current Lat/Lon data.
This work also includes a full guide on how to how to create XML files on your computer .

Probably one of the most colorful original themes for your Windows mobile. This theme, known as Purity by XDA member Lunie is a good option if you are one of the WM lovers around and use s2u2. Working only for Cookie Home Tab 2.0 with Windows Mobile 6.5 and up for WVGA resolutions and sense build 2016 and superior. No doubt a good option to have in mind if you are looking for an original high quality theme.

My theme for windows mobile releasing it on DeviantArt.

The theme is based on a bunch of things i’ve seen on the internet. It’s basically a cleaner, more vibrant version of sense. Though it’s colors are very limiting I was somehow able to manage it to stay high quality w/o reducing it’s form.

Enjoy the preview releasing it today for Sense. =)

peep

A few days ago we published an article on the Portal regarding HTC Peep Vulnerability. Well, today we have an update thanks to XDA member cajunflavoredbob who posted a series of .cabs. The developer pulled files apart and recompiled again with the help of XDA member JVH3 changing the way the Twitter Tab (HTC Peep) authenticates your user account. They should work on Windows Mobile 6.5, 6.5.x, and perhaps also on 6.1 but you need to have Sense 2.5 on your device to make it work. The developer mentions that the 4 files contained on the original thread are more or less the same, so you may want to try several to see which one works better for you. Remember that these cabs could harm your device, so be sure to know what you are doing before proceeding.

Peep Update *.cabs

After pulling them apart and recompiling them, with the help of JVH3, here are the HTC Peep Update *.cabs. These are for Windows Mobile users with version 6.5 or higher. It should work, in theory with version 6.1, but I didn’t feel like testing it out. Obviously, you’ll need Sense 2.5 as well. There are four versions, but they all seem to be exactly the same. I didn’t notice any differences other than the dates they were packaged. The Rhodium version seemed to have a slightly smaller TwitterApp.exe file, but I still don’t think it was different.

Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for anything you do to your devices. These are posted for informational purposes. If you choose to install the application update, then any side effects (of which there should not be) are on you.

XDA member dhillonbros presents his updated VoIP SIP application for your Windows Mobile. You can use it to make calls via GPRS or WIFI taking advantage of the free options. The latest version now supports all major codec´s such as G.711 a-law, G.711 u-law, GSM codec, etc. Working on WM 6.1 and 6.5, this app needs to be installed on your main memory to work properly. The developer has tested it on the Blackstone, Leo, Omnia II, Glofiish M700, Rhodium and Blue Angel.
If you find bugs please report so future versions can be fixed.

Install on Fresh OS
Tested and flying on my HD, HD2, Omnia II, Glofiish M700, Touch Pro2[Rhodium], BlueAngel[PDA2K].

This time i have made single cab[sipConfig.cab] with Schap`s voip setup inbuilt. Hopefully 3g option will work with this cab as i have changed few settings. Tweaked is home screen item selection[select thru Available and selected to make cellular call or sip/voip call{one have to use classic home screen to do this}]. This cab is GSM codec based unlike previous cabs hence very low bandwidth is required to place calls, Can be used to make calls over GPRS but not sure. Quality of calls is .99/1 and no dropouts and one can call as long as credit available in account. What else, as this cab will integrate into phone system, it is very easy to use with addressbook, etc. I have attached audioswitch out file which if installed comes into action[can hear from earpiece] 13 seconds after phone window is active on screen, doesn`t matter calling or recieving. I have also attached SRS file just in case if someone hear less/low volume from earpiece just follow the instructions attached. Also attaced is Wifi always on file which some HD2 users need. Also 5060 port has been enabled in these cabs but you may need to forward 5060UDP port in your router for possible two way communication. Hopefully you guys like this cab, Please leave comments and suggestions. Thanks
Credits to developers.

*Most of the bugs has been fixed discussced in previous cabs.
Previous Cabs can be found here

Are you still in love with Windows Mobile? This useful application, developed by XDA member JVH3 will let you add the Facebook pics to Outlook contacts on your device as the HTC UI only adds the pictures to your contacts but not in outlook. The latest version is fully skinnable and the images now fill the whole space. You need to have Sense 2.5 for this app to work. The developer recommends to make sure you sync with Facebook before running it.
Please leave some feedback if you liked the application.

Images now fill the whole space.
And the potential for the initial contact crash is fixed.
And the skinning can use pngs with transparency.
And it should be installable to the storage card now.

I developed an app to add the facebook pic to outlook contacts.

Sense 2.5 automatically adds images to your device to be used for your contacts in Sense.

But, the image is not added to your outlook contacts.

I went through the threads that it suggested before creating this thread.

If you like this app, please use the Thanks feature of the site.

And of course donations are always appreciated;
