Not too long ago, XDA Recognized Developer rovo89‘s Xposed Framework (thread) was updated to add support for several new platforms. Among those to benefit were MIUI users. With version 2.3, anyone running a MIUI ROM based on Android 4.0 or later could access the almost endless tweaks housed within the hundreds of Xposed modules currently available. Naturally, however, not every available module works perfectly on dramatically different ROMs such as ones based on MIUI.
In order to better meet the needs of MIUI users, XDA Senior Members BalcanGSM and BurgerZ created WSM Tools based on rovo89′s open source Xposed Framework. The project, just like Xposed, allows you to modify applications during runtime, without actually interfering with the application itself.
WSM Tools is compatible with both Xposed modules and modules written expressly for WSM Tools. Within the app itself, you can access two repositories of modules. You can access modules from the official Xposed repository, as well as a WSM-specific repo. Currently, there are 12 WSM-specific modules available, as well as an open API for creating more.
Naturally, you’ll need root access to install the framework, and thus far, it is only tested on MIUI v5. Make your way over to the application thread to learn more.
