For those members using Farsi language now thanks to XDA anishtan32, we can have it on Windows Mobile devices. After installing this application, Finger Keyboard will display as a new option the language Far. Members reported working on WVGA, VGA and QVGA resolutions. To install, just copy the extracted file into (root):\program files\fingerkeyb\skins\.  Probably, you will need a soft reset after doing this.
Please leave feed back to the developer.

CRT Fade Animation for WM

November 20, 2010   By:

tube

XDA member Jaxbot brings us this interesting mod for WM 6.5 and up. Recently, we have seen some very interesting videos and screenshots of the new and upcoming Android OS version 2.3, aka Gingerbread. One of the latest ones involves an animation during the screen turn off. Basically, the new animation will make it look like the old TVs and monitors where the image collapses into a flat line through the center of the screen and then into a point. The dev managed to create a single app that will activate upon the screen being powered down.

That goes to show those who believed that there was nothing else to customize in an OS. Not exactly useful, but fun and creative to say the least. Leave us your comments.

Hello everyone! Saw this video of the Android 2.3 screen fade out animation, and thought I could maybe cook something up for Windows Mobile. Here’s what I came up with.

Granted, it’s fairly useless, but it sure does look cool. Tested on my HTC HD2.

Instructions
Just install the cab file and (if you want) set Send Key to turnOffAnimation.lnk, and you’re set.
Note this will not replace anything on your device, so it should be safe. Let me know what you think!

Lots of development have happened over the last few months since Android first graced the WVGA screen of the HD2. New kernels, ports, more functionality, you name it, everything has been done to get this OS as functional as possible. However, there were a few bugs still pending, which were quite annoying. One of the biggest ones is the fact that the device would hang (more specifically the touchscreen would freeze for a little while) due to the orientation sensor. The g-sensor couldn’t be properly calibrated, which happens to be a common bug that appeared in many Android ports for other devices as well. About a month ago, XDA member memin1857 had posted a very comprehensive guide on how to solve these issues, and now the dev has updated it with a patch created by XDA member mdebeljuh to help make this process a bit easier.

Where you waiting for a fully working, non-freezing, Android port on your HD2? Now is your chance…

UPDATE: (13/11) A patch has been developed that completely eliminates TS FREEZE for good.
Thanks to mdebeljuh and jdivic, I tested it and it seems to be working perfectly.
Check post 140 on page 14:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show…&postcount=140

—–

EDIT: If you did autocalibration and messed your g-sensor, read post 10 & 11 to see a fix for it. (before going through post 1)
EDIT 2: Freezes of sensors and touch screen seem to be related to offset values. See post 10 & 11

[APP][1.0][MUI] locationAlarm – GPS Alarm [W|Q|VGA][9.11.2010]

This is the initial release of my latest Application called locationAlarm.

This App can wake you when you really need it! Not based on Alarm Time as usual, but on the location you are in right now!

You surely have heard about this kind of alarm Clocks existing for Android or iOS and now it does for Windows Mobile too!

As special functions of this program, it does warn you if the signaling does not work for ten minutes, and your phone does not know its location anymore!

Also it will warn you with the alarm sound if the batterie level gets critical.
It does not only work with GPS but also with Traingualtion

The Gui again is fingerfriendly (of course) and does rely on the superb SenseSDK 1.39.

Donations are very Welcome!

You can find more information in the application thread.
For beta testing the program, see here.

XDA member Co0kieMonster, famous for this incredible add on for Manila, has presented today the final version 2.0. Features like SMS and email notification shortcuts will jump to CHT widgets, option to disable non-edit mode popup menu, new option to make toggle switch turn on bluetooth in discoverable mode, new option for original flip clock animation, updated chtstate v1.08g, changed tab and state links are no longer part of the base CHT cab – available as add-ons and fixed phone hard-key not working can be found on final release.
Working on Manila (Sense) 2.5 on a WVGA or VGA resolutions for Windows Mobile devices.

CHT version v2.0.0 bring major changes. Most of the mod has been rewritten from the ground up, every line of code has been looked over and optimized for speed. Lots of new features have also been added along with an addon widget framework. Generally the mod is more configurable than ever.
You must uninstall any previous version of CHT and soft reset before installing this one.
If CHT was cooked into your custom ROM, install over the cooked version.

A new version of CHTEditor is also available: CHTEditor v2.0.0.0 final – you must use the final version of CHTEditor with CHT 2.0 final.
There is no backward compatiblity with versions 1.x.x, so you can’t import old CHTE 1.x settings files.
But you can import saved files from 2.0 beta into 2.0 final. Similarly, future versions will be compatile going forward, so you will be able to import your 2.0.0 settings into any 2.x.x version.

If you’re upgrading from v2.0 beta, read this post.

Here are the highlights of what’s new in v2.0.0. A full list of changes is very quite large and you should read the user manual to find out all that’s possible.
These are just highlights, but I know you’ll discover the details by reading the manual and of course while exploring the home tab itself
- left/right sliding pages confgurable from 1 to 7 pages (separately configurable for portrait, landscape and lockscreen)
- redesidned softkey area, bottom menu and tab slider (tap and hold the slider button, don’t just tap and release)
- quick links can be configured in any row by column layout
- new links that are can be freely moved anywhere on the screen (free links – add from popup menu)

Android Loader v5.0 Final for HD2

November 3, 2010   By:

screen006x

We know there are many Android bootloaders for Windows Mobile devices, but this one presented by XDA moderator mskip has very interesting boot options. The final version of Android Loader shows features like the chance to auto-load Android even if it´s not located in the traditional folder, a Windows link to reboot directly to Android without any prompts, and the option to change the startup boot option.
Please be sure to read and understand how this application works before you proceed.

[APP] Android Loader v5.0 Final for HD2

There are numerous Android Bootloaders out there right now that will load Android before WindowsMobile boots up (into the screen) but this app is a bit special

For starters you can load Android easily once you are already using Windows. It comes with a cool looking icon so you can add it to Sense or Mobile Shell or whatever you use as your day to day interface.

On installation you can also set the Android Loader to ask you what you want to do as soon as WindowsMobile boots up. If you select ‘yes’ then everytime Windows boots up you can choose between loading Android or carrying on into Windows.

You will also be asked on installation to select the folder where your Android files are (no typing needed). This NEW feature means that when developers bring out Android Builds that arent in the standard ‘Android’ folder you can still auto load it without any problems.

snap20101023_073557

I´m sure you remember Tetris. Well, now thanks to XDA moderator jug6ernaut, you can have it as a live wall paper on your Android device.
Watch how blocks come down and get on place at the bottom of your home screen with this nice and colorful original theme. Despite it´s still on beta stage and some bugs are expected, the wall paper looks nice and works quite well.
The developer mentions that it should work on any WVGA device, but please leave feedback if you have issues.

I am using this thread as a Public Beta for my program Tetris LiveWallpaper.

Anyone can use this software, thought it is meant for currently meant for WVGA phones, i can not attest to how it will work on any other res phone. My only plea is that if you download my software that you leave a small comment in this thread with your thoughts, problem you might have, stuff you would like to see, ect.

I reserve the right to sell in the future. Right now i plan to ether make it adware or have a free and pay for versions. Though this is not set in stone.

Here is my list of what i am working on adding in the future, tho not in this order.

Scrolling Wallpaper Dock

This is a repost from here as it is not HTC Desire specific. Everything should work on any phone with 800*480 resolution.

—————————————————————————-
Concept
—————————————————————————-

I have been experimenting with what I believe to be a unique use for the scrolling wallpaper. If using LP with 6 homescreens your wallpaper scrolls exactly one dock icon (1/5th of the screen).

I started playing around with using this as a screen indicator and dock icons to jump between homescreens using LPP Shortcuts. Shortcuts to all 6 screens are attached. I found you could effectively use the scrolling effect of the wallpaper in place of a screen indicator (although it goes the wrong way).

It takes a bit of playing around with the wallpaper to get it 100%. I’ve included a .PSD of one of my files, however the others aren’t really in an up-loadable state. I’ve included all the scrollable wallpapers I’ve made as well.

I hope you get some fun out of this – If you do make something interesting and unique please post here to share it with everyone else!

It is very fast to start !
All resolution are supported (for QVGA, the pictures are resized) and lanscape is as smooth as portrait (thank’s to the new version of Manila SDK) !

The graphics are all stored in the \resources\VGA\ folder and you can change them at will.
You will find the available languages in the \resources\lang\ folder, but you can create your own file (add any files in this folder). To enable your chosen language, use the configuration tool and select your language file!
With the configuration tool, you can also modify the words directly by clicking!
Don’t hesitate to post here your language file! Updated lang can be found here: http://charlie-soft.com/Software/Man…esources/lang/

Becareful: you have to save your file with Unicode encoding !
For graphic modification, you can download the pack created by lesscro or this one created by anhphe076.

WAD Android theme (WVGA)

Hi all,

Here’s an Android theme which I made to use with WAD.
It’s the first theme I’ve created but I thought it turned out pretty well, so I thought I’d share it and see what you think.
It’s for WVGA devices (I use a TG01) and is portrait only.

It has:
3 main pages for shortcuts (slide left/right to move between them)

Clock widget

2 menu pages – tap the silver button at the bottom of any main page to slide up to menu page 1, and slide your finger up on that page to access menu page 2.
Slide your finger down to get back to menu page 1 and tap the silver button at the top of menu page 1 to get back to the main screens.

Taskbar with battery, signal, wifi and new SMS notifications.

To install (if you’re already using WAD you probably know this anyway, but just in case!!):
