VIO App uses your Phone’s Camera for Motion Detection

VIO, by Vesperial, is a new motion detection app which uses the primary camera of any phone running on Windows Mobile 5.0 or later to detect movement in a should-be stationary location. It can be set to run while the owner is away from home, sending a .jpg of the moment in which movement is detected in an email to any given address, and sending an SMS alert, in the case of the sensor being triggered.

VIO uses the phone’s camera to capture and detect any motion.

Motion will be detected by comparing the actual picture with one reference picture that will be automatically refreshed (settings allow you to specify when it must be refreshed)

Two ways of comparison are available :

Squares
Easy way and really fast ; the picture will be cut to squares, you just need to specify square’s width + squares sensibility + minimum squares needed to trigger an alert

Edges
More accurate but slower ; the difference between actual picture and reference picture will give us some zones, these zones will be extracted one by one, if one contains the minimum pixels needed you set then it will trigger an alert.

When motion is detected VIO will :

  • save picture as .jpg
  • send mails containing pictures to the email address you defined.
  • send sms to alert you anywhere

Continue on to the application thread.

According to myLGphones, a version of the LG G4 will not feature neither a 2K nor a 4K display - but 3K. If you are anything like me, your reaction to this news will be confusion. While we don't have many details about the sources of this leak, it has apparently been confirmed true by a poster at hardare.fr that gave some more details on model names for each version of the upcoming LG flagship. However, these leaks don't point towards all G4...
