Want to Get Your EVO Back On Sprint? Here is How…
So, you have an EVO and decided to give Sprint the cold shoulder and took your business (and EVO) elsewhere. If you have gone into other no contract carriers such as MetroPCS and Cricket, the person that was doing the “flashing” of the device to their network probably made you sign a waiver or disclaimer which stated that the device, once flashed, can no longer be used on the other carrier. If you are trying to go back to Sprint, you may be wondering if you could get your EVO back in or if you are going to have to buy another device. XDA member netwokz shows us that not everything that a carrier says is true. The netwokz has written a very complete guide on how to “flash” your device back to Sprint if you are either on MetroPCS or Cricket. It is a simple guide and everything is outlined step by step. However, as you will be changing things in the NV files of the device via QPST, there is a risk involved, so be sure to read and understand all the instructions before proceeding.
Did this guide work for you? Do you have anything that you may want to add to it? Please leave some feedback on the thread.
My roommate bought an EVO 4G off Craigslist that was pre-flashed to MetroPCS. It had a clean ESN, so I tried to have it activated. I finally got voice and text to work, but no data. After searching the web, visiting flashing stores, and spending hours on the phone with Sprint’s so called “Technical Support” over the last week, I finally figured it out…
This is my first tutorial, so bare with me. And I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, it seemed most appropriate. I performed all this in Windows 7 x64.
