Binary Clock for HTC Sense

Binary Clock for HTC Sense

The release of the Co0kie’s Home Tab modification for HTC’s Sense 2.5 has brought brilliant new opportunities for the customisation of the interface. Recently, there have been many new takes on the traditional flip-clock found in all versions of Manila, but I think that XDA member¬†antaed‘s Binary Clocks brings a very original look to your device.

Maths and programming geeks should enjoy the redesigned clock as it very efficiently shows the time, featuring one line of four well-rendered spheres which display the time in binary. You can also choose which colour the spheres will become when active, as visible in the screenshot.

If you don’t know how to read binary, it’s quite simple. Each dot (working from bottom to top) represents the number 2 to the power of its position (starting from 0) when it is lit. For example, if the third dot from the bottom is lit, the number 4 (2 squared) is represented. These are added to give the value for that digit.¬†If what I just said sounds confusing, it might help to take a look at the screenshots of the clock to figure out how the time is represented.

If you are among the few who can read binary, then this clock design is definitely worth checking out. You can pick it up in the theme thread.
