Chainfire’s HD2 3D Driver Updated to 2.5 BETA!

If you thought that the driver development for the HD2’s 3D drivers had stopped, you’d better guess again. XDA member Chainfire has just released a beta version of his ever popular 3D driver for the HD2. Please be advised that this is for development and testing purposes only as the previous version had some issues with Snapdragon processors. The dev states that there will be a 3.0 version soon if the testing goes well. So, if you would like to help with the development for the HD2, this is your chance. Make sure that you read through everything that the dev has posted in the thread as this requires quite a bit of knowledge on the subject.
What, why, how ?!
The driver didn’t work well on some Snapdragon devices (the LG Expo, for example), and on some ROMs also didn’t work very well, according to some. There were also a few other minor bugs fixed.
Some of the causes of the problems would require me to create a seperate patch for all those different instances (for example for the LG Expo). Obviously I want to have only a single patch that works on all devices! This BETA version is an attempt to make that a reality.
It works on the programs, games, and devices I have tested it on so far, namely OGLCubes, Electopia, GLBenchmark, Manila/TF3D/Sense(/whatever), on a stock (NLD) HD2.
You can find more information in the driver thread.
