Facebook Tab in Sense 2.5

Meltwater has today released the first ever modification that allows Facebook to be added to Sense 2.5 as an individual tab. Although still in the early stages of development, you can now access your favourite, dangerously addictive social networking site just by sliding your finger.
This is my facebook tab, the project is a learning project, it will also have a supporting tutorial with full details of how it is built.
By it’s nature the intention is it is freely available and totally open.
Before people ask, no I can’t do comments, pokes, likes, notifications etc etc, I am cheating here and borrowing HTC function/pages and only changing what I have to, to obtain the function needed.
I’ve no intention or wish to re-write a facebook tab to directly use the facebook api (YET). If I can access/find what I need to do it easily I’ll fit it in, as I said an official Facebook tab is bound to appear and it simply is not worth the effort. Anything more than this would require writing an app to interface with the facebook api, doing something like that is a huge effort and it would be wasted the very second HTC release an official tab.
Hopefully it does enough to keep everyone happy. However, I am documenting the creation of the tab, so it’s up to you.
I’m planning to do at least one update to this to add the bits I couldn’t get going in time, plus to make it easier to configure via the settings instead of the registry.
If you’re willing to mess around with Manila files, and have MortScript installed on your device, this mod should really be worth a look. Have a peep into the original thread to give it a go.
