We normally cater articles for end users and devs alike, but we don’t usually focus on things of a more complicated nature like cooking. Having said that, we have something that WM chefs will enjoy. XDA member HD2Owner has posted a way to fix a little bug that has been around for a while. Basically, the EzInput keyboard (the one that HTC uses for most devices since the Raphael and Victor came out) displays bold letters whenever it is cooked into a rom. HD2Owner has figured out what was causing this and released a patch for it in two forms: a cab (for end users), and an OEM package for chefs.
Once applied, the keyboard will look just like it should. However, functionality will not be affected by this. If you have any suggestions or if the package does not work, please report some feedback for the dev.
(!) Don’t delete mgtt_o.dll from SYS! This driver is highly dependent on it.
- *.cab with driver (Not tested, however it should work. Make a system backup (just in case)!).
- OEM package with driver (for chiefs).
You can find more information in the patch thread.
