The world of mobile devices is a rather fast paced one. Normally, we get the best, the latest, and the greatest and are happy about it… until the next one comes out. All of the sudden devices are no longer as attractive as they were when we got them, even if their functionality hasn’t gone down from the day they were purchased. According to an article submitted by XDA moderator and developer Da_G, it seems that Microsoft decided to cut their losses and consolidate all of its efforts in the upcoming Windows Phone 7. There are certain reports which point to the Kins not being released in Europe. However, according to the dev team for the Kin, the devices will be released for Vodafone sometime in autumn.
Microsoft has decided to cut its losses early with the Kin phones.
The company rolled out the Kin One and Kin Two phones in April and began selling them in May. On the last day of June, the Softies announced they had decided against selling the Kins in Europe and planned to fold the Kin team into the Windows Phone 7 team.
