One of Windows Phone 7′s most beautiful UI elements is the Live Tiles feature. In case you are not aware of what it is, basically the tiles (which are really program shortcuts) get updated regularly with nice looking transitional fade effects as well as displaying this information and things such as missed phone calls, e-mail counter, etc. Many apps for this OS seem to have these but some apparently are breaking the settings for all the other ones, as installing them modifies the registry. After reading and searching for a while, XDA member colossus_r found that there are two entries in the registry that are responsible for this. The dev has posted the procedure that he followed in order to get his tiles going again, which involves turning off live services as well as modifying the registry. You will likely need to have an unlocked Windows Phone 7 device in order to do this as you will need access to the registry in the device.
Please leave some feedback if you are experiencing this and have found this fix to work for you.
