It had been a while since the last time we added a Windows Phone 7 device to our line up, and with the imminent release of the HTC 7 Pro on the Sprint network in the US, we thought it was time to get down and dirty with the new phone. The device is also known as the Sprint Arrive, which makes sense considering that it is Sprint’s leap of faith into the world of Windows Phone 7. You have to remember that Sprint is a largely Android-dominated carrier, so it will be interesting to see how the marketing of this new device will pan out.
In case you are not aware of what this device even looks like, just think about a fusion between the HTC Rhodium and the HTC Surround. Simply replace the slide out speaker with a keyboard and the ability to tilt the screen and you got yourself a pretty good picture about how the device actually looks like. Spec wise (aside from the keyboard), it doesn’t differ much from the other Windows Phone 7 devices out there in the market. I guess Microsoft’s guidelines to sport the new OS for manufacturers left little room to wiggle.
If you have this device already or are planning on getting one, please share some thoughts.
