To go straight to the point: the Touch Pro2 music players suck. Well at least XDA member reb3lzrr thinks so:
I’m the proud owner of a HTC Touch Pro 2 but (as many other Windows Mobile devices) it lacks a truly good music player. Most of the music players that are available for this platform don’t have the features I look for. It bothered me so much that I almost regretted buying a TP2 instead of an iPhone. I wanted a music player that had the following features:
- Library based
- Finger friendly
- Works smooth
- Lets you find and play your song in no-time
So he decided to make a new music player that imitates the iPhone music player perfectly. And I have to say that he did a very good job. For now, the application supports two resolutions, WVGA (480X800) and QVGA (240X320).
It also requires Windows Media Player (Don’t worry, it’s no skin, only the library of WMP is used) and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. It’s still in alpha stage now, but the developer plans to add album art to the lists and playlists. The playlists will be included in the paid version, so won’t be free unfortunately.
