Install Provxml on Omnia 7 – Under Development

Yup, you read it correctly. XDA member lyriquidperfection is jump starting the customization capability project for the Omnia 7. What does this mean? Well, if you are not familiar with cooking for Windows Mobile devices, you will have probably never heard of this before as it is not some app that you will go on and install, like you would with a cab. This is something that is used by chefs to allow the devices to run certain settings and customizations upon first boot. Lets say that you cooked your own rom and wanted the font to be wingdings (assuming that you had the font, of course) with a different size, color and a few other tweaks. Provxml will allow those settings to be placed in a xml file and be applied without you (the end user) having anything to do other than just sit and look at the settings do their thing.
So, if you are a chef starting to tinker with Windows Phone 7 (especially the Omnia 7), please give this a go and see if it works for you. If you can add some value to the discussion with findings and maybe workarounds to some issues that the dev is having, please share them.
Can do this using the Registry Viewer and Network Profile Tool. I will be making a tool for samsung that will allow you to provision any xml.
