Looks Like WP7 for the HD2 is Beginning to Look Like a Reality, But…

Interestingly enough, it looks like the efforts of our devs, particularly XDA member Cotulla are finally going to be released soon, according to his Twitter page. What this means is that the Windows Phone 7 OS arrival at the HD2 is imminent and we should be expecting it pretty soon. However, Cotulla also mentioned something rather important in his Tweet regarding the verification system that Microsoft has put in place. It looks like since the device will not have access to Live due to a license check, the device will be limited on what it can and cannot do. Live ties up all the online capabilities of the device, and without access to this you will get no access to Zune Marketplace, Bing Maps, and more.
It is not the first time that a manufacturer has put locks to try and keep developers, enthusiasts, and hackers out of their intellectual property, and every time someone finds a way to trick, disable, or otherwise bypass these systems. So, when this port does become available for the public, please be patient as this will surely come to pass. In the meantime, try and take the OS for a spin and see if you like it, once it comes out.
But new “Windows Phone Genuine” doesn’t allow to use any Windows Live services So it’s mostly “Demo” of WP7. No bypass ways are known
