While going through one of the official T-Mobile updates for the HD2, XDA member skoogee discovered that integrated into the operating system was the capability of having a small animation playing whenever you switch your phone off.
After extracting and modifying the original animation, skoogee provided us with two .CABs, one of the improved T-Mobile animation and the other with an Arabic animation, which he made himself. However, the interesting feature is that since the .CABs include all the relevant registry edits, you can make your own personalized shutdown animation simply by installing it and replacing the relevant .GIF.
You can find the .CAB and the discussion about the topic in the tweak thread along with some additional animation ideas from other users._________
