Many people are complaining about the lack of customization on Windows Phone 7, and we certainly agree that Microsoft could be a bit more flexible when it comes to letting users be able to customize their OS a bit more. The major customizable features are the lockscreen background, the photo hub’s background and the ability to change the colour of the titles and the background in the UI. Yet, this last option does still come with its restrictions – it only allows for two background colours (black and white) and ten title colours. The combination that Microsoft always has used, is blue on black. So, blue titles with the black background.
XDA member Cruzer1 started a poll to see which combinations everyone is using, and the results are pretty interesting. Most people use the standard combination of blue on black. At the second place, green on black is the most popular. The pink on white combination is the least popular one, which hasn’t been voted for yet – and to be honest, we wouldn’t want to use that combination either.
We hope that Microsoft will enable a lot more colour combinations in future – just like XDA member mozzy suggested, a black on white combination like the mail hub would be great.
