While there are a few ways to run applications in Windows Mobile, many people have always missed the good old fashioned Start>Run in Windows. XDA member theq86 has just released the first version of his program, which basically cures your nostalgia. It is a run tool that allows you to start any application installed on your device by typing its name. This is particularly useful for when the app in question has no icons or shortcuts.
The app currently works on any version of Windows Mobile above 6.0. The dev is looking for feedback on how to make it better, so your ideas are welcomed.
Quick Links are okay, but what about running an application just by calling it’s name like in Windows with the Run command quickly? This tiny app does just that. Just at the moment it can only run programs within the folders in the PATH variable, but this will change. also an autocomplete is planned.
It’s just a little app but I find it useful.
It runs on Windows Mobile > 6.0
If you have ideas to improve this app just let me know.
You can find more information in the application thread._________
