Skin your PC like Windows Phone 7 with Omnimo 2

You might remember that some time ago we posted a quick review of a Rainmeter skin called Omnimo, which allows you to enjoy the ‘Metro’ style adopted by Microsoft for the user interface of the Windows Phone 7 platform, but all on your Windows computer.
Recently, the team behind the multi-panel interface have released the second version of the theme. With much improved graphics and stability promised, the updated version makes it more important to check the project out than ever before.
As with Windows Phone 7, Omnimo features many customisable panels, which each bring valuable information to you in a seamless and very attractive fashion. For example, integrated smoothly into the desktop-replacement software is a small Twitter widget which will feature the most recent tweets on your wallpaper. Other panels include a calendar, a clock and shortcuts to your favourite applications.
To try Omnimo 2 out, install the latest version of Rainmeter and then head on over to the XDA thread. A bonus pack is available with the skin as a handy accompaniment, which features a larger choice of panels, tiles and skins.
