Unbrand Any HTC Windows Phone 7 Device

We found some interesting news from the Windows Phone 7 development section. XDA member xboxmod has found a way to unbrand any HTC Windows Phone 7 device using the Goldcard tool and another device as disk drive. It seems to be a fairly easy process which has been described in a step-by-step guide. Yet, we warn you: if anything goes wrong, it could get pretty complicated or even brick your shiny new HTC WP7 phone. It has been proven to work on the Trophy, Mozart, HD7 and Surround. Non-HTC users are out of the game for now, though we expect it won’t take a long time before such hacks are available for other brands too.
