Updating EXT in your Kitchen the Easy Way

If you are a chef here on XDA (or any other forum for that matter), you probably know very well what it takes to make a port of any build into a newer one. One has to port XIP, SYS, and EXT, and most of these have to be manually compared package by package. It may not seem like much, but it can be very tedious and time consuming.

Thanks to an anonymous friend of XDA member HD2Owner, chefs (pro and novice alike) have a tool to make porting the EXT packages, a breeze. The tool in essence is a batch operation that compares all the packages present in the EXT folder between an existing build and one that you are willing to port. It then copies the ones that are only present in the newer releases into your kitchen’s folder, without touching or modifying either the source EXT or the kitchen EXT’s existing packages. The app has been tested and works for EVK and OSKitchen.

only new ext-pkg’s to a other kitchen.

a friend of mine wrote a little bat-file for me and i want to share it with you.
the creator insisted to call it bloody rudimentary but i think it’s quite useful.
he wants to stay anonymous… :-)

around two hours of brainwork (i remember the command for this… what was it again?) and notepad.exe to create this from scratch.

You can find more information in the application thread.
