Recently a lot of devices have been designed with very large screens, as a result there is no room for a directional pad. However, sometimes a directional pad is needed for certain applications and for casual gaming.
User more_pizza has developed the Virtual d-pad application to solve this problem. The d-pad can be deployed, dismissed and moved around the screen making it easy to use. Once you’re done using the d-pad just tap the “X” button and you’re back to using your device like before.If you really miss having a d-pad for some of your applications give Virtual d-pad a try and provide more_pizza with some feeback.

The application is at a very beginning stage, so please have mercy. If there will be enough interest for this app, I will continue to improve it.Future work includes:
- interface improvements (transparent images/skins)
- an application settings window
- code optimization
