Windows Phone 7 Recap

As today is the eve of the big announcement tomorrow, we thought we would wrap up some of the biggest stories we have had on the subject of Windows Phone 7. We have seen some interesting stories come out of the community that deserve another time around in this recap.

To start us off, one of the very interesting things we saw was the WP7 OS running on the HTC Leo with a clear video to add:

XDA member darkmurder points us to a video where we can see clearly an HTC Leo booting Microsoft’s new operating system,Windows Phone 7. [Read on]

Another recent story we saw was the HTC Mozart WP7 Rom for T-mobile leaked:

As we get closer to the official launch of WP7 devices leaks, hands on experiences are becoming more frequent. This time, XDA member Football brings us a new gift. The dev has found and shared a copy of what seems to be the T-Mobile rom for the HTC Mozart. [Read on]

A game that normally ships with HTC phones is “Teeter” which is a very popular mobile phone game and XDA member was able to port it for WP7 devices:

We are all eagerly waiting for the release on WP7. Not only to see how the UI actually feels like or how the devices perform overall, but to flood the device with time-killing activities, also known as games. XDA member xanderkaiber decided to port one of the most famous games for mobile devices in the last decade. [Read on]

A story we really liked was the new RSS reader WP7 app being developed by PaulosCZ and Captainkrtek:

If you plan to get a Windows Phone 7 soon then you’ll have a great RSS reader to look forward to running on your phone. The app, developed by XDA Member PaulosCZ & Captainkrtek, is still in development but has some great features planned. [Read on]

In addition to the others, we got to see a great video showcasing the possible WP7 Sense UI:

HTC Sense is taking a relevant place in Android and not even Google itself will be able to stop it despite their attempts to get a perfect interface. However, Windows Phone 7 doors are closed, and at most give rise to a “hub” designed by HTC for functionality and software. [Read on]

And lastly, one of us was able to get hands on with a WP7 Test Device and were able to snap a few pictures:

As the launch date for Windows Phone 7 approaches, many of us are getting excited about the new OS Microsoft is bringing to the table. For this  story, we were able to get our hands on a Windows Phone 7 Test Device, thanks to our source. [Read on]
