Once upon a time, the Internet was ruled by Orkut, mIRC and ICQ. Times have changed, but these services still live on, although they are nowhere near as popular as they once were. It’s still nice, however, to see when these services are up to something now, as is the case with the recent release of the official ICQ client for Windows Phone 7.
While many former users have moved on to other messaging programs, the Mango client looks good and can hold its own against most messenger apps on the platform. One of the best things about the app is the integration with the People hub, which makes it possible to chat with your Facebook, GTalk, and Mail.Ru friends as well. Some of the features you will find on the app are:
Works with the microblog
Collection of emoticons
Enable additional accounts
Manage your contacts
The app is free and can be found in the Marketplace. Head over the original thread to get started.
