We just found an interesting guide that has been around in the Windows Phone 7 area for some time, yet it just came into our sights. XDA member sandman01 has posted a very, and I do mean very, complete guide to learn how to manipulate files, use tools, and finally be able to cook your very own WP7 roms. This seems to work for both NoDo and Mango according to the OP. The guide will only work for those who have devices that have RSPL/HSPL installed on them, which means that if you do not have this, you will brick your device the moment you try to flash a rom into it.
The dev has also included, aside from samples and tons of explanations, all the required tools to get you up and running. Over time, the dev has added more parts to this guide, which will teach you how to modify settings, appearance, add apps to the rom, and much more. You have to also keep in mind that this will work with the Schubert, but the dev does not mention whether it will work on other devices as well. However, if experience is any kind of a good teacher, as long as a base rom is available, it should be possible to play with the rom and modify it to your needs. Plus, the process should be rather standard across all devices. So, even if you haven’t got a device, this is great knowledge for whenever you do get one.
Please take a quick look and leave your feedback for the dev.
after finding out how to create my own rom I will explain the progress for everyone.
