We all agree that older games still keeps us rather entertained, which is why you see recreation of said games for most devices. However, porting a game (or making it from scratch) takes a tremendous amount of time, even if only to get the game half working. When this happens and the excitement wears off with time, then we just move on to the next best thing, emulators. These programs can enable whatever device to use games not designed for it. In this case, XDA member Nudua had been tinkering with Silverlight 4 and has been able to come up with an almost perfect NES emulator for Windows Phone 7. The only drawback so far is that there is no sound, but on the flip side, there is no FPS loss in any game that the dev has tested. Anyone who has used a NES in the past will likely not mind as the music in most games can become quite annoying.
Please take this new emulator for a spin and leave some feedback if you come across bugs.
So, last year i did a qick and dirty port of the popular java nes emulator VirtualNES to Silverlight 4 Beta.
