It looks like our good friends at DFT are keeping busy with Windows Phone 7 development. In fact, they are doing so much that they are in a bind as to what to include in their next release of their Freedom Rom. XDA member mwang posted a poll for WP7 owners to cast their vote on some options that they are considering for their upcoming rom. However, the true highlight of that thread (for many, anyways) is the small note at the bottom of the opening post, which states that the rom (regardless of the winning alternative) will come loaded with Internet Sharing (aka, tethering). For many who leaped from Android when WP7 first arrived, this will be a nice refreshing experience that they likely sorely missed from their previous OS choice(s).
The rom is in development stages and mwang does not state what devices will be covered by this rom. However, they’ve been working on the HD7 for a while, as well as the HD2. We can only speculate whether this will be available for other WP7 devices, such as LG and Samsung devices. Please cast your vote in the thread if you are following the project.
