XDA Server Update – Step 1 Complete
In preparation for the move to XDA’s new servers, we took the site down Saturday night (Eastern US time) to perform prep work. Specifically, we needed to take the database offline in order to replicate it on the new servers. To ensure these new servers are performing optimally and to ensure complete redundancy in case of any hardware failures, for the next few days, we will be operating the new primary database server in “slave” mode. Once we are confident with the performance of the new servers, we will make the final switch with (hopefully) very minimal downtime.
Sorry for the long-winded update. We know most people just want everything to work, but we figured a few of you might want a bit more detail.
