What's your favorite Raspberry Pi project?

With hundreds of projects available online, a Raspberry Pi is one of the best companions for DIY tinkerers. From retro gaming stations and media-streaming servers to full-on weather stations and web servers, there's quite a lot you can do with these miniature green boards. As of late, I've started using my Raspberry Pi 5 as a self-hosting workstation by running Docker containers on the Raspberry Pi OS. But what about you? What fun projects do you run on your Raspberry Pi?

The more I use it, the more I love E Ink

You know how some things feel right when you first use them? That's E Ink for me because it means I can spend longer reading, typing, or browsing without getting a headache. It calms my brain in a way that no other display technology has, even OLED, and it does it so well that I want to use it on more devices. It's not perfect, though, with a high cost, desaturated colors (if you have a color model), and slow refresh rates. But it has so much potential. If it could refresh slightly faster, it would be fine for watching videos, and then I'd only need other panel types for gaming.

Would you sacrifice portability for more modular tech?

Every now and then, a company comes along with an idea to make a modular device that's easier to repair and/or upgrade compared to the industry standard. Right now, we have Fairphone doing this for phones, and to a greater extent, Framework doing it for laptops. But as much as I love the modularity of these devices, there are some clear downsides. Modular designs tend to be a bit more bulky and less visually appealing, which is how companies sell us on their locked-down machines in the first place. So the question is, are enough people willing to sacrifice portability and sleekness for a repairable device? More to the point, are you? I've already bought a Fairphone, so I think I've picked my side, but I'd love to hear what others have to say.
